The MKT (Missouri, Kansas, Texas) Depot in Hominy, has been more than just a depot since its construction.
After the railroad tracks were removed from Hominy, Oklahoma, uses for the building ranged from Chamber of Commerce headquarters to a cafe. The north end of the Depot is currently used by the Hominy Heritage Association, and features among other interesting items: a model electric train that runs the length of the large room and an authentic, working railroad crossing signal, complete with chimes and flashing lights.
